Confirm more than your own availability
Check whether the seller, landlord, storage facility or building manager can provide access on the requested day. Some properties require a booked moving window or staff presence. Include any key-collection deadline and say which timings are fixed. A free day in your diary is not enough if the property cannot receive the load.
Discuss the full weekend scope
Give the furniture and box list, carrying details and any packing or dismantling request. Ask for the price basis and included work to be confirmed for the chosen date. Do not assume that a weekday discussion reserves a weekend slot or that every weekend has the same availability.
Make the request easier to assess
- List a first-choice date and any acceptable alternative.
- Confirm both properties can open during the proposed window.
- State whether the date is dependent on keys or another delivery.
