Use package dimensions, not showroom dimensions
The assembled wardrobe or bed size does not show how many cartons need collecting. List every package, its longest dimension and available weight information. Include smaller fittings packs and accessories. Tell us about any item sold assembled, as that needs a different inventory from boxed flat-pack furniture.
Confirm the order can be released
Check the retailer’s current collection instructions yourself and confirm that the order is ready. Explain any collection appointment, authorisation or paperwork required. Do not assume there is an IKEA collection point in Stratford; provide the real address and postcode. Agree transport availability before committing to a collection slot.
Plan delivery into your home
- Measure access for the longest carton and identify the destination floor.
- Keep unpacking and assembly separate unless those tasks have been agreed.
- Confirm the order and receiving arrangements before the transport booking.
