Describe bulky and weathered items
Give dimensions and materials, especially for large benches, glass tops or heavy bases. Explain whether furniture folds or needs dismantling. Outdoor joints may be stiff or weakened by weather, so mention condition before handling is agreed. Count cushions and detachable parts separately from the main furniture.
Plan the route out of the garden
Measure gates and narrow side passages, and note steps or a route through the house. Agree preparation so items are clean, dry and ready as appropriate. Fuel, gas cylinders, chemicals and powered equipment require separate suitability checks and must not be silently included with ordinary garden furniture.
