Identify the parts before the collection
Ask the seller whether the chaise, corner and seat units disconnect, and whether any connectors need tools. Record the number of sections, loose cushions and separate feet. Include a storage base or reclining unit on the inventory. Keep fittings with the correct section so nothing is left behind at collection.
Plan around the least flexible piece
Measure the widest or longest fixed unit against doorways, corridor turns and stairs. The fact that other sections fit does not prove this one will. Explain which floor each end is on and whether the lift can take the largest unit. Request dismantling separately if the sofa will not be ready to carry.
What to confirm with the seller
- Whether the sofa is already separated or still assembled.
- The agreed collection window and a contact who can release all sections.
- Any damage, delicate connectors or mechanism that needs discussing before handling.
