Arrange the unit before arranging arrival
Confirm the unit is available and that you are authorised to access it on the moving day. Ask the storage provider about opening hours, vehicle access, loading bays, lifts and the route to the unit. Give us those details along with the full facility postcode.
Movivio does not provide a storage unit through this form. Unit rental, access agreements and the facility’s charges remain separate from your transport enquiry. Do not assume that a transport booking includes storage space.
Describe the contents, not just the unit size
A unit’s floor area does not show how much it contains or how heavy the items are. List furniture and appliances, estimate boxes, and identify large or fragile pieces. Tell us whether the contents are already packed and whether furniture is dismantled.
If several people share a unit, identify exactly what should leave and what should stay. Organise labels and access so the correct belongings can be collected without searching through unrelated items.
Coordinate release and destination access
For a collection, check what authorisation the facility requires and who will open the unit. Share necessary release instructions through an appropriate agreed channel; do not publish access codes in public comments or social posts.
For delivery into storage, confirm who will be present, where the items are to go and whether the provider has any handling restrictions. For delivery home, provide the same door, stair, lift and parking details as a normal removal.
Plan separate journeys explicitly
An outward move into storage and a later move out are separate journeys. Give both dates if known, or explain which one is provisional. Each journey’s availability, scope and price must be confirmed.
