Build the route before agreeing appointments
Number each seller, give the postcode and describe the item waiting there. Record earliest and latest access times, not just a preferred arrival. The route may need to change if a seller is unavailable or an item is larger than expected. Do not commit every seller to the same collection time.
Consider what is on the vehicle at each stage
A large final collection must fit alongside the items already loaded. List dimensions and anything needing special protection. Explain whether any furniture should be delivered before the other collections. Extra mileage, waiting and changes to the route need to be agreed in the price and booking scope.
Keep each handover organised
- Confirm that each purchase is complete and ready to release.
- Have a reliable contact for each collection point.
- Update the transport request if a purchase falls through or another item is added.
