Measure before arranging transport
For a sofa, bed, wardrobe or table, provide length, width and height. Ask whether legs, doors or sections can be removed and whether the item will already be dismantled. Tell us about fragile surfaces, glass or unusually heavy materials.
Check the route into your home as well as out of the seller’s property. Door widths, stair turns and lift dimensions can decide whether a collection is practical. A photo can support the discussion, but measurements and access details still matter.
Coordinate seller and delivery access
Confirm who will release the furniture, where the item is located and which entrance should be used. A seller’s availability is separate from your transport booking; both need to line up before collection.
For a shop or storage-unit collection around Stratford-upon-Avon, ask about loading access, release paperwork and any fixed appointment. Include the full postcode rather than only the shop name.
Agree what happens at each end
Say whether you need the item carried from an upstairs room and where it should go on delivery. Dismantling, reassembly and specialist handling must be requested and confirmed, rather than assumed.
For an appliance, explain its condition, size and preparation. Electrical, plumbing and gas work are not included by default. This is a transport enquiry, not a waste-disposal or house-clearance booking.
