Include the smaller rooms and outdoor spaces
Add cots, toy storage, desks, bikes and garden furniture to the main room list. Explain which beds need dismantling and whether they will be ready before collection. Label boxes by destination room, particularly where bedrooms have similar furniture. Do not pack essential items into an unmarked mixed load.
Keep the carrying route clear
Arrange a separate space for children and pets while furniture is being carried. Keep keys, personal documents and first-night essentials with you. At the new home, have an adult contact who can direct room placement without blocking the entrance. Requested priority items should be discussed before loading starts.
