Identify the desk construction
Distinguish a simple table-style desk from a large pedestal desk, glass workstation or powered sit-stand model. List attached drawers and cable trays. If the top is removable, confirm who will detach it and keep the fixings. Powered furniture should be prepared according to its instructions; transport does not include electrical repair.
Plan the room as well as the journey
Empty drawers, remove loose electronics and label separate accessories. Measure narrow landings and the final room doorway before assuming the desktop will fit. Say whether a chair, monitor stand or shelving should travel too. Those items need to be on the inventory rather than added to the van on the day.

- The largest prepared component and any known weight.
- Whether dismantling or assembly is requested.
- Collection times, both postcodes and the floor at each property.
