Ask the seller practical questions first
Get the item’s fixed dimensions and ask which floor it is on. Find out whether it needs dismantling, who will do that and whether all fittings are present. Ask about access to a suitable loading position. An inexpensive item can require substantial transport work if the carrying route is difficult.
Keep your buying decision separate from the quote
Request transport using both postcodes and the seller’s deadline. Compare the total cost with your budget before committing to a purchase. A provisional quote enquiry does not reserve a vehicle or mean the item will fit your home. Measure the destination route and agree the purchase condition directly with the seller.
Your decision checklist
- Can the largest fixed part pass through both properties?
- Will it be prepared and released in an agreed time window?
- Have carrying, preparation and all proposed stops been included in the transport discussion?
