For a sofa, bed, table or appliance collection, include the approximate length, width and height. Tell us whether the item comes apart and whether you need help carrying it at either address.
If you are buying from a private seller or collecting from a shop, agree the collection window with them first. Tell us who will be there, which entrance to use and whether the item is upstairs. A confirmed seller appointment and an agreed transport booking are separate arrangements.
Student rooms, studios and small loads
A man-and-van enquiry can suit a room move, a small flat or a partial household move. Count your boxes and bags, then list furniture separately. Shared-house stairs and accommodation loading slots can make as much difference as the distance travelled.
Do not assume one person can safely carry every item. Explain anything bulky or heavy and say if nobody will be available to help. The number of movers and what lifting is included must be agreed in the quote.
Make your quote useful from the start

- Floors, lifts, doorways, parking and walking distance to the van.

A quote for the job you actually have
The cost depends on load size, distance, carrying time, crew and requested extras. Confirm whether the agreed quote is fixed or time-based, what minimum charges apply and how any additional time or stops will be handled.
For short-notice work, give your preferred time and any flexibility. Availability is checked for each enquiry; submitting the form does not promise a same-day collection. This enquiry service is for moving belongings, rather than self-drive van hire or waste disposal.
Can I enquire about moving just one sofa?
Yes. Add both postcodes, approximate dimensions, floors and access at collection and delivery. Mention whether it separates into smaller pieces.
Is a man with a van the same as van hire?
Here it means a moving-service enquiry. It is not self-drive rental. Agree the vehicle, driver, lifting help and price before booking.
Can you collect something bought online?
You can request a furniture or appliance collection. Check that the seller can release the item at the agreed time and include the collection access details.
Do I need to help with lifting?
Tell us if you need all loading and unloading done for you. The crew and carrying arrangements are agreed around your items, stairs and access before you book. Do not assume the driver can move heavy furniture alone.
Can I request a weekend or short-notice move?
Yes. Give your preferred date, collection window and any flexibility. Availability and price are checked individually before a booking is confirmed.
Can I move outside the West Midlands?
You can enquire about a longer-distance move starting in our region. Include the full destination postcode so the journey can be checked.
Do you have a fixed hourly price?
There is no automatic price on this form. Your quote depends on the load, route, access, crew and timing. Agree the total or charging basis, included work and any waiting or additional-stop charges before booking.
Can I save my quote form and finish it later?
Yes. Open “Save for later or choose another service” in the form to save the text for up to seven days. Keep your private link safe. Files are not saved in a draft and need to be attached before you send the enquiry.
How can I follow up after sending an enquiry?
