Separate urgency from readiness
Explain whether belongings are packed, furniture is dismantled and the seller or property contact is available. An urgent deadline does not make an unprepared load ready to travel. Include dimensions of large items and any stairs or long carrying route. Incomplete details can leave important suitability questions unresolved.
Do not promise a time before confirmation
Give an acceptable window rather than assuming a same-day arrival. The vehicle, crew, route and both handovers still need agreement. If the date changes or you find another arrangement, update the enquiry. Sending a form is not confirmation that someone is on the way.
Include in the first message
- Both postcodes, the item list and your latest workable time.
- Preparation still required and who will complete it.
- The contact who can release and receive the load.
