Build a room-sized moving list
Count boxes, suitcases and bags. Add your desk, chair, shelving, bed or other furniture only if it belongs to you and is coming along. Keep shared-house and landlord-owned items separate.
Flag musical instruments, monitors or fragile equipment that need particular care. Carry essential documents, keys, medication and personal valuables with you.
Plan the handover between addresses
Check the time you must leave your current room and when your next keys become available. If moving to or from London, supply full postcodes at both ends, including any longer-distance destination.
For shared entrances or managed accommodation, confirm entry arrangements with the person responsible. Tell us about stairs and whether someone can meet the vehicle at each address.
