Measure the frame as well as the cushions
Give the sofa’s width, depth and height, including the highest fixed part. Explain whether cushions and legs come off and whether it contains a recliner or sofa-bed mechanism. A two-seat description alone does not establish either weight or carrying requirements. Ask the seller for measurements before agreeing transport.
Plan sofa collection around your Northleach access
For a Northleach furniture collection, measure the seller’s exit route as well as the item. If collection uses a passage or courtyard off Market Place, record turns, gates and steps and agree where the vehicle can stand before committing to the handover.
For sofa collection, prepare overall sofa dimensions, removable legs or sections, collection and delivery access. Describe the collection and receiving points separately so the quote can reflect the whole job, including any carrying or handling beyond the vehicle.
Check the turn after the front door
The narrowest part of the route may be a hallway, stair landing or the space behind a door. Check the seller’s route out and your route in, including any lift. Do not assume removal of a door or lifting through a window is included. Describe uncertainty so handling suitability can be assessed before booking.
